Full Of Running (NaPoWriMo Day 3)

Hello again.

Today’s prompt for NaPoWriMo is ‘Use the first line of your favourite song as the first line of today’s poem.’ As of recently, I’ve been listening to a lot of John Mayer, and I really enjoy his music. One of my favourite songs for the past couple of months has been (and will probably be for a long time to come) is Edge of Desire by him. I love it so much. So I had to write a poem with the first line of this song.

Duh.

Young and full of running,
Stumbling through
Cracks and crevices,
Dark and daunting little faults and fissures

Keeping me captivated, oh, how I shiver
In delight despite knowing that
Tonights assignment will haunt me
But I throw all thoughts aside
As my eyes run through words
Running and running
Thousands of words running onto pages

Running and running
And pages turning into stories
Thoughts running around with magnificent glory
Until it’s almost nine,
An hour until the deadline.

(Ps. I hope you figured out what I was writing about!)
