A Long Time Ago

A long time ago,
There lived a lass
Who dreamed of beauty
In places that no one could pass
Lack of subtlety
A loss of temper
Led to the destruction of that thought
Now, it resides in her heart as an eternal ember
Constantly taunting her
Reeling her in
To places that the light never reaches
Places – her perceptions of ‘beauty’ begin to thin.

(Ps. Sorry Bob for the disturbing poem. I missed you too buddy.)
